Histories of Other Bands Associated With RAG

Way the hell back in 1992, within the beer and puke stained walls of the dorm known as Kostka, a bunch of freshmen had an idea. They had an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar, and a trombone. They had a strong interest in music. They had a wide variety of backgrounds and musical taste. But, most importantly, they had a lot of beer.

While coming back from dinner one evening, they noticed a flier pasted to one of the walls in the dining hall. It advertised a "Battle of the Bands" competition between bands on campus. Like the Christmas Tree in Rockerfeller Center a few weeks before Christmas, a bunch of lights went on inside the heads of these guys. Surely they could put together a band and learn enough songs to win this contest! The wheels had been set in motion, and there was no turning back now...

The discussion continued back in the dorm. Of course, the first thing any new band needs is a name. This is an important part of the process for any newly formed band, and one to be considered carefully. Surprisingly, the effort spent on this was very little, as it didn't take long to come up with a name that everybody approved of. "Let's go for an acronym, those are catchy," they agreed. Looking around the room, several words were thrown around... "Anarchy," was of course a favorite of the group, and that stuck. But anarchy what? Hrmmm... Kostka Religious Anarchists Gang (KRAP), Anarchistic Anarchists (AA), Loveable Anarchists (LA), and Dope Anarchist Dingos (DAD)... none of those seemed to fit... Then the word "Rabies" was offered. Sure, rabies was pretty cool, they thought. You foam at the mouth, go crazy, bite things, and lose your mind. Anarchistic Rabies... hrmmm... No... Rabid Anarchists... now we were getting somewhere... but "RA" reminded us all of the cocksuckers around the dorms who we despised with an incredibly strong passion. No, we could not be known as "RA", that would not work... another ingredient was needed... Then, like a divine revelation from heaven, there came the final word: Goatfuckers. Yes, it worked, and it worked well. The Rabid Anarchist Goatfuckers were born. Better known as RAG. Also known on the rated-PG circuit as the Rabid Anarchist Goatlovers.

The band was complete. Well, almost... All they needed now were a few more instruments and some songs... But the ball had started rolling, and before it would stop, there would be legendary tales of drunkeness and blackouts, and the world would never be the same...
