The album promises to be just as catchy and beer-inspired as "No Refunds", but now with more surprises! And stuff! It will have lots of stuff on it! Like uhmmmm, songs! And cool original artwork by our artist pal, Joe Simko! More info will be coming soon, but for now, you can check out the album cover above. :)

Also, after an exciting and theft-filled double-set performance at Finally Fred's, BDF will be returning there on Thursday, December 11th at 8pm. BDF Makes Their Big Screen Debut!

09/23/03

Big news!

That's right, you heard it here first... Beer Drinking Fools will be featured (and we use that word loosely) in the new Jack Black movie! Here's an excerpt from the official press release:

Beer Drinking Fools make an all-audio appearance in the upcoming Jack Black movie, "School of Rock", due to be released nationwide on October 3rd. The appearance, which is rumored to be spread out among three separate scenes, will likely be distorted by pitch shifters and other sound effects, making their voices and music unrecognizable, yet still promises to be one of the highlights of the film for many fans.

Be sure to read the complete press release for more details and quotes from the band!

Fun for all ages!

Cool Off With BDF In Siberia!

08/19/03

Heya peoples!

The C-Note show was a smashing success, with one of our biggest crowds ever! Thanks again for all our loyal fans who showed up to this one! We had several first-time BDF witnesses this time, and hopefully a few have been converted to follow the glory of the Almighty Brew. Photos have been posted in the Gigs section for that show.

Next show: This Saturday night at Siberia! No, not the frozen tundra in the former Soviet Union. The bar in Manhattan! This is the exciting climax to the 2003 Summer of Suds World Tour as BDF will be joined with friends Klunk United, Squirrels From Hell, and 245 for what is sure to be a magical night! Festivities begin at 9pm, but get there early to get a good viewpoint and get your drink on.

Also, for those of you who might be considering grabbing a bite to eat somewhere in Manhattan before the show, check out the latest Restaurant Reviews by BDF's very own Richie Rheingold! He tells it like it is and doesn't pull punches.

Peace.

Hello beer fans!

Thanks to everybody who came out to the show at Luxx in Brooklyn, it was definitely an enjoyable and memorable BDF debut in Brooklyn. Some photos of the gig are now available for your viewing pleasure.

Also, for all you crazy people who love to sing along with our songs, the infamous Lyrics section has been updated with a ton of the newer songs we play, including favorites like "I Want A Beer", "The Longest Pee", and "Fuck Bloomberg".

And, last but not least, don't forget BDF will be playing at the C-Note a week from Friday on August 8th! A Friday night gig, fun for the whole family!

Later.

Summer of Suds hits Crooklyn!

07/14/03

Heyas crazy people!

Hope everybody is enjoying their summer so far! Just remember, if it gets too hot outside, drink lots of fluid. And, coincidentally, beer is a fluid! And, speaking of fluids... the Summer of Suds continues with a stop in Brooklyn!

In what is sure to be a revulting display of all the deplorable low-class behavior imaginable, FTSD Records has arranged for the Beer Drinking Fools to play with White Trash Bronks. The show will take place at Luxx in Brooklyn on July 27th, marking BDF's first appearance in that burrough of NYC! You are cordially invited to put on your favorite overalls and your finest plastic mesh hat to attend this spectacular event.

Summer of Suds Continues!

06/22/03

Heyas fans!

Thanks to all those who came out to watch BDF kick-off the Summer Of Suds World Tour at Acme Underground! It was a pretty kickass show, Rich got a little nutty and was down in the pit, we had some guest vocals on a song or two, and much fun and joy was had by all!

The Summer of Suds continues! Two upcoming shows planned so far: Friday, August 8th at the C-Note. BDF makes their debut at this place, and plan on trying a jazz song or two! Look for Moosehead to bust out his talent with a brass instrument! Special thanks to Indie Music Explosion for liking us enough to give us a shot at this show, woohoo!

After that, we've got what's sure to be the talk o' the Summer! Saturday, August 23rd at Siberia with Klunk United, Squirrels From Hell, and 245! Festivites start at 9pm, and this is a show you don't want to miss.

Our vast array of booking agents and band managers are working on getting us a few more summer dates, so keep checking back for more show news! Laters!

BDF This Thursday! Contest Winners Revealed!

06/10/03

Hello people!

Just as the weather is warming up, the Beer Drinking Fools "Summer of Suds World Tour 2003" kicks off this Thursday at Acme Underground! Come on out, and have a few frosty cocktails and enjoy New York City's favorite beer-soaked band! The show starts promptly at 7pm, so after work you can kick off those shiny loafers, put on your drinking shoes, and head on over.

The Third Official BDF Contest has ended, and the results are in! Thanks to all of you who submitted entries! For those of you who don't remember, or never bothered to read it in the first place, this contest gave fans the chance to write their very own BDF song about how much work sucks, tentatively entitled "Work Sux, Part Dos" or maybe "Work Still Sux".
And the winner is....
Mark McSorley! Congrats! Mark penned an excellent tune in the style and tradition of true BDF art! Mark has one several cool pieces of BDF merch, including his very own BDF T-shirt and Beer Stein! And he will be made an Honorary Member* of BDF for the entire Summer of Suds world tour! You can check out his winning entry and see what it takes to become a BDF champion!
Our other two winners...
2nd Place: Steve D. who becomes our first 2-time BDF Contest Winner!
3rd Place: Sean L. of Whiskey & Regrets! West coast fans representin'!
Congrats to all our winners! :)

* - Being an honorary member of BDF gives that person the right to jump on stage and act like an idiot at any live BDF show, drink ridiculous amounts of alcohol, puke their brains out, and sing off-key along with all BDF and non-BDF songs.

And, for those of you who would like some light afternoon reading, Steve St. Ides has written a piece on "Why Work Sucks". It delves into why we work and some of the multitudes of reasons for it sucking.

In other shows, our friends, Squirrels From Hell, will be playing at RARE tomorrow night. For more info, check our their website at www.hellsville.com. Their last show at the Baggot Inn truly kicked heiney, including fulfilling fan requests for their favorite songs! Check them out, they rock the house.
And remember that Brian Klunk (AKA Brian Ballantine) will be playing Freddy's in Brooklyn July 5th. Details and music on www.crushedmusic.org.

See you all on Thursday yo!

-Steve
