| The Lost Songs... Found! |

Hey, hi!
We have something for all you crazy people out there... New recordings! Well, the recordings themself are not really new. They were done last summer, sometime in between the "Last Show" and the "Reunion". We've played some of them live in the past, and others have never been heard before. Affectionately now known as "The Lost Songs", they are lost no more, and here for you to enjoy. Rock n roll.
See you all at Rare in a week! Print out one of these dope flyers, and get $2 off the price of admission at the show! More money to spend on beer!
Enjoy!

Hey, hi!
The next BDF show on Saturday, August 6th at Rare is getting closer! We're psyched about it, and despite our lazy ways lately, we do have a trick or two up our sleeves for the gig. If you haven't reserved that date yet, do it now!
In other news, BDF has set up a page on the wildly popular Myspace.com. Stop by, check out the videos and MP3s, and be sure to rate the songs as "Hot!" (their word, not ours) so we show up in the rankings of bands that kick buttocks. And if you have a Myspace account going, we'd be happy to add you as a friend. It's all about the networking yo.
Rock n roll.

| New Videos! And Big News! |

Hey peoples!
Ever since we announced the Reunion Show, there has been a buzz going around concerning the future of the band. Leading up to the show, at the show, and since the show, one question has come up over and over and over again: "Is BDF back?" Well, after some discussion among band members, negotiations with our record label, in-depth market research, and continued consumption of massive amounts of beer, a decision has been made... BDF is back!

What made us decide to revive the BDF tradition? A few simple things really:
1) Incredible support and feedback from our fans. Hell, we even had several fans demand that we keep playing shows. And who are we to say no?
2) The logistical issues that were one of the main reasons for bringing it to an end turned out not to be that big of a deal after all. It's amazing what modern technology has done for the transportation industry.
3) Most importantly, we had a frickin blast at the last show. It's always been about having fun, and we think that we proved we can still have fun ourselves and put on a fun show for the fans.
To celebrate this monumental comeback, we've released not one, but two brand spanking new music videos! The first one is mad old school, some live footage of the band playing "Bitch Stole My Dog" back in Fall 2001. The second video is for the new song "Donneybrook At Diceys" and features everybody's clay beer-chugging punk rocker. And he brought some friends along this time!
Let us know what you think about the videos, and look for BDF to return to the live stage sometime this summer.
Rock n roll.

| Reunion.. A Success! |
03/18/05 |
|
Hey peoples!
Hope everybody had a fun and drunken St. Patrick's Day! The BDF reunion show at Desmond's Tavern last Saturday was a smashing success! Not only was it the second highest money grossing BDF show ever (for tax purposes, we can't reveal how much we made.. Needless to say, most of it went right back to the bar as we bought more drinks), but it was the most encores ever, as the sound guy pretty much had to pull the plug on the band to shut them up! As the crowd chanted "BDF! BDF! BDF!", the band responded with not one, not two, but FIVE frickin encores! Thanks again to Squirrels From Hell, and My Brother's Banned for helping make it another memorable night in BDF history!
Check out photos and the set list from the show.

We're getting closer.... Keep the date free, you won't want to miss this one... It's also a little pre-St. Patrick's Day celebration, and also marks the 4-year anniversary of this website opening. Time flies when you're having fun, eh? Or when you're drunk all the time and can't remember much of the past 4 years... that works too..

Hello again!
Years in the making. Now officially sanctioned. The first 20 members of the Beer Drinking Fools Alumni Association (also affectionately known as "BDF AA") have been inducted! This exclusive group honors those who have made significant contributions to the BDF experience over the years, both musically and drunkenly. Congratulations and thank you to the first group of inductees. "You're all Beer Drinking Fools... We're just the ones holding the instruments."
You can find the list (and other interesting historical BDF information) under the "Band History" section of that menu there on your left.

Hello all, and happy fuckin new year!
We hope everybody had a nice, safe, drunken New Year! We know you are all patiently awaiting news regarding a possible BDF reunion show and/or our latest project. And, I promise, news regarding that is coming really really soon. We just want to finalize a few details before making everything public....
In the meantime, we've posted some of the lyrics for our latest songs for you to read and enjoy. If you haven't read the lyrics to War On Drugs yet, you need to. I'm pretty sure we're the first band to ever rhyme "bong" with "Viet Cong".

Also, check out the recently compiled Top 10 Most Memorable BDF Shows. Ever. According to the band members, these are the ones that made the biggest mark on the history of music. And, lucky for you, most of these shows actually have photos, so you can go back in time and relive the shows for yourself!
Be sure to check back every once in awhile for more news and updates. Beer Drinking Fools might not be playing live at the moment, but that doesn't mean you've heard the last of us!

Heya peoples.
It's over. BDF has left the building. The final Beer Drinking Fools show.... ever at Acme Underground was an absolute frickin blast. Photos and the set list have been posted.
Thanks again to everybody who has supported us over the past 3 years. You guys all rock. And as Richie Rheingold put it, "You're all Beer Drinking Fools. We're just the ones holding the instruments." The site will remain up and will continue to be updated on occasion with beer related fun and games. And maybe even an update regarding some of the other things former BDF members are up to.
So long, and thanks for all the memories! (Or lack thereof.)
